On Friday, December 18, 2015 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EDT, the REMS TA Center, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Education’s OSHS, hosted a webinar on the REMS TA Center’s free resources, products, services, and tools supporting the development of high-quality emergency operations plans for institutions of higher education (IHEs).

The presenters provided information on the resources and supports available to IHEs across the country as they prepare for emergency events that may impact the campus community, and shared information relevant to the needs of higher ed practitioners, emergency managers, law enforcement, community partner, and other stakeholders with a role in IHE safety, security, emergency management, and preparedness. The presenters also provided an overview of recommendations put forth in the federal Guide for Developing High-Quality Emergency Operations Plans for Institutions of Higher Education (IHE Guide).

This 1 hour webinar included a live PowerPoint presentation as well as a Question and Answer session following the presentation. The event was followed by a 30-minute Web Chat that took place on the REMS TA Center’s Community of Practice. Click here to access the Web Chat.
