Project School Emergency Response to Violence (SERV) Grant Program
Overview:The Project SERV program (CFDA 84.184S) funds short-term and long-term education-related services to local educational agencies (LEAs) and institutions of higher education (IHEs) to help them recover from a violent or traumatic event in which the learning environment has been disrupted. Generally, Immediate Services assistance covers up to 60 days from the date of the incident and is intended to provide a limited amount of funds to meet acute needs and restore the learning environment. Extended Services assistance covers up to 1 year from the incident, and is intended to address the long-term recovery efforts that may be needed following a traumatic event. Extended Services grants may provide up to a limited amount of funds for 18 months to help students, teachers, and staff members recover from a traumatic event.
Application Deadline: Applications are funded on a continuous basis.
